Motions filed in Court Street fire case

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica woman accused of setting one of the city's several fires over the July 4th weekend had several motions put forth in court Thursday morning.

The attorney for Ambur Fortney filed motions to ID several alleged eyewitnesses, and also to suppress several statements that she made to authorities.

Fortney is accused of setting fire to the front porch of 1122 Court Street in Utica on July 4 after getting into a fight.

If she's found guilty, Fortney could face up to 25 years in prison.
