UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The case has been adjourned until next month for a woman accused of setting fire to a Court Street home over the July 4th weekend.

Ambur Fortney faces charges of arson. Prosecutors say the incident on July 4th began as some sort of domestic dispute and ended with Fortney allegedly starting a fire on the porch of 1122 Court Street in Utica.

That fire was one of a cluster of four Utica fires that broke out within an hour of each other around midnight fourth of July into the fifth.

Motions were filed last week by the defense asking to identify alleged eyewitnesses, along with a request to suppress several statements Fortney made to authorities.

She rejected a plea deal in Oneida County Court on August 21.

If she's found guilty, she faces up to 25 year in prison.
