UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - 33 year old Tyrone L. Malone was sent to the hospital after an evening shooting on Blandina Street in the City of Utica Friday night, according to Utica Public Safety Commissioner Daniel LaBella.

Authorities say it happened in the street in front of 776 Blandina Street.

LaBella says Malone was shot in the shoulder on Blandina Street and was sent to St. Elizabeth Medical Center via ambulance. He said Malone's injuries appeared non-life threatening Friday night.

Utica Police are continuing their investigation into the incident, but still have no suspects as of Saturday evening.

Police were also not disclosing what a City Cab at the scene had to do with the incident, if anything at all.
