New Hampshire man quits job to cross country in horse-drawn wagon; rides through Herkimer

By KRISTEN COPELAND

EAST HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - He sold his house, he sold his truck, he quit his job. Bob Skelding, of New Hampshire, is riding across country in a horse drawn wagon. Why? Skelding says the trip is for the fun of it.

Skelding was riding along Route 5 in Herkimer this afternoon. He doesn't have any plans other than to make it down south before the snow falls.

So far Skelding says the trip is "far cooler than anything I could have possibly dreamed of."

Skelding is not exactly "roughing it". In his wagon, he has a full sized bed, kitchen, running water and power.
