WKTV News

MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash on Route 49 in the Town of Marcy late Thursday night.

Representatives from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office said three to four vehicles were involved, but have not released official information.

The names of those involved are also not being released.

There is no word yet if there are other injuries.

Why have they not yet identified the victim or the details of this accident almost twenty-four hours after this has happened?

It is nice to see that the New York State Police is assisting the Oneida County Sheriff's Office with their investigation. That is the first time that I have heard of the NYSP reconstructing an accident handled by the Sheriff's Office. But I'm sure you guys got the facts right before you printed anything.
