NEWSChannel 2's Pat Bailey Goes Back 2 School

By WKTV News

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - Many of us at the station are from Central New York, so we decided to re-visit our alma maters on the day of the school's big football game.
I am a 2001 graduate of Little Falls high school, and after a trip back for homecoming this weekend, I noticed the school spirit is still there.
No matter how good or bad the football team is you will always find a lot of spirit at Little Falls. I never was a football player myself, my job was to be a part of that spirit.
I tried football in 7th grade, and wore the cleanest number 51 jersey. So I focused on other sports. The year was 2001, and I was in goal for the varsity soccer team, apparently too short for that too. I remember giving up one goal that was kicked 60 yards away.
My job, playing cheerleader for my friends and classmates. We had a great basketball team that was one bogus call, and four seconds away from playing in a state final four. I chalk up my role, as the motivating cheerleader, to the fact the class of 2001 was loaded with talent.
But thats in the past, this is today. The same ole' pep rally held in the gymnasium the night before the homecoming game, this year against Ilion. This years football team is as good as its been in years past, and the program is still growing. However, the one thing that has remained a constant, throughout the years is the purple and white spirit.
