NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The troubled United States economy has many working adults worried but teens are showing concerns as well.

Paul Bisaccia, an Economics teacher at New Hartford High School, and former Morgan Stanley trader, says many of his students will face problems before they even graduate.

"In the next couple of months, particularly in January, they are going to be applying for loans, some of the major debtors out there like CITI Corp are moving out of that market," said Bisaccia.

Bisaccia said most students will be able to get loans but it will be more challenging to do so.

Students have mixed feelings about how the economy could play a role in their lives.

Those we spoke with are saving money from summer jobs and looking to cut gasoline costs by driving less, but when it comes to student loans there is no consensus.

"I'm not too worried about it, i guess if it came up its something I'd have to figure out, but I'm not too worried about it, said senior Jake Silberlischd.

"I am very concerned because student loans are going to be harder to come by," said senior Matt Prokosch.
