Decision 2008

WKTV Newsroom

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Does Barack Obama's lead in the polls mean that the race is over? Local pollster John Zogby says far from it.

Zogby says according to the numerous polls, Barack Obama has had a very good last couple of weeks, "Since we began, we've seen Obama's lead go from two points, up to six points, and that's a rolling average, clearly momentum is with Obama right now."

But Zogby says you may not want to read too much into that right now, things could change, he says "In 2000, we had Al Gore up by as much as seven points and George W. Bush as much as seven points on two different occasions so it swung up and down, and up and down. Same thing in 2004 with John Kerry, Kerry was in the lead, then Bush was in the lead and back and forth so it's way too soon to say this race is over."

Any person that would vote for Obama would have to be a very sick person.America needs a change but not that kind of change all that would get us is four years of civil rights movements. They've allready got to many rights as it is.

What is going to make the difference in THIS election is if people actually get up and vote... too many leave it to others... and that is why we end up the way we do. If we could vote on the INTERNET (like they do for everything else) you'd see a BIG difference!

I agree with Julia. But I also agree that anything could happen. According to the predicted electorate, Obama is over 300 and 270 is needed to win. Sooo, we'll see if the electorates remain as they are.

Thats not saying much, in 2000, many, many, voters couldn't make the differnce as all the ballots after a certain point were not allowed to be counted, ordered by a republican, that is not fair at all, the main question, even after 8 years, is WHO REALLY WON?!,
