Governor Sarah Palin makes cameo appearance on NBC's Saturday Night Live

NEW YORK, N.Y. (WKTV) - Live from New York, it's Governor Sarah Palin! The Vice Presidential candidate made a cameo appearance on NBC's Saturday Night Live.

At the beginning of the show, Palin stood with Executive Producer Lorne Michaels watching Tina Fey impersonate the Governor in a mock press conference. Palin mentioned that she wished to impersonate Fey on her NBC show 30 Rock but Michaels responded that nobody watched that program. 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin came into the conversation, mistaking Palin for Fey and complained to Michaels that he should not let Tina Fey embarrass and demean herself by letting her portray the Governor and GOP Vice Presidential Candidate.

Sarah Palin then went out to the mock press conference and took it over from Fey's Palin where she refused to answer any more questions and delivered the classic opening line, "Live from New York, it's `Saturday Night."'

Later, in the show's class skit "Weekend Update," Governor Palin made an appearance but, in humor, refused to sing the song they intended. Amy Poehler, co-host of "Weekend Update," was forced to fill and sing a rap song with dancing Eskimos and moose, clearly mocking Palin's home-state of Alaska.
