By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Donovan Skelton, the man charged in connection with a 1993 murder entered a plea of not guilty in Oneida County Court Wednesday.

Skelton said very little during a morning arraignment in front of judge Barry Donalty.

Skelton was scheduled for arraignment yesterday but due to a conflict of interest in the public defenders office related to a witness, he wasn't assigned an attorney until Wednesday.

Skelton is charged with second degree murder for attempting to kill Tirus Freeman during a shooting outside of bar in 1993.

He faces a second charge manslaughter for shooting and killing 16 year old Harold Surarrow.

Skelton is due back in court November 19th.
