 Bruce Sutter
17 new members will be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.  Bruce Sutter headlines the list of inductees.  Sutter, a relief pitcher, saved 300 games during his career.  He played for the Chicago Cubs, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves.  A member of 6 All-Star teams, Sutter also won the National League Cy Young Award in 1979.  On Sunday, he will be inducted as a St. Louis Cardinals into the Hall of Fame.

16 others will be inducted for the roles they played in the Negro League.  The list includes players, managers, owners and organizers.

One of the inductees is Effa Manley.  Manley was co-owner and business manager of the Newark Eagles of the Negro League from 1936 to 1948.  She will become the first female ever inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
