Red Cross Battle of the Bands to return November 25

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Back by popular demand - the Red Cross Battle of the Bands!

The Youth Council of the Red Cross is putting on the charity concert once again. New this year - it's a fundraiser for active military members.

The high school musicians will raise money for items such as socks, boot laces, playing cards and beef jerky.

"Our goal is 500 students," said Jordan Heath of the Youth Council. "Last year we had close to 500 and this year we have the Doppler Effect, which will be playing after the Battle of the Bands...after all the bands are done playing and they are tallying up the score. So we're hoping that will bring in fans. And they're a really great band."

Battle of the Bands is taking place November 25 at HCCC.

Tickets are $5 at the door, or $3 and a comfort kit item.
