Obama Meeting with McCain:
President-elect Barack Obama is meeting with Sen. John McCain today at his transition office in Chicago. They're expected to discuss ways to improve government services for people.
Big 3 Bailout:
Senate Democrats plan to attach legislation for an auto industry bailout to a House-passed bill extending unemployment benefits.
But it's a long shot to pass unless at least a dozen Republican senators also support it, and so far many have said they won't.
State Legislators Prepare to Convene:
State Senate Republicans meet behind closed doors today to discuss Gov. David Paterson's budget cuts.
The entire Legislature meets Tuesday for a special economic session.
Recount Could Be Finished Soon:
We may find out this week who officially won the race for the 24th congressional district.
Many Boards of Election are wrapping up their recounts this week, most by today.
Utica Teen Arrested:
Utica police said they arrested 17-year-old Leshawn Thomas after he allegedly led them on a car and foot chase Sunday night.
Wildfires Continue to Rage in California
Three major wildfires continue to burn around the greater Los Angeles area.
The biggest has left nearly 24,000 acres charred in Orange and Riverside counties.
