Parkway Drugs opens new location in North Utica

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - North Utica residents have a new option when it comes to their prescriptions - Parkway Drugs has opened up a third location on Leland Avenue next to Big Lots.

The store's management hopes they can keep alive the spirit and quality of a locally owned drug store, while offering some special services to their customers - services that already are in high demand.

"This store, I think will pick up pretty quick here," said Vincent Chiffy, a Pharmacist at the store. "We've already had a lot of calls for delivery service. I think that's a big thing for us - free delivery We go to the house, we pick up prescriptions. We fill them, and we deliver them back. So that's big for us."

The official grand opening, complete with giveaways and prizes, will be held on Wednesday, November 26.
