Michael Arcuri - Ray Meier

A new poll out, commissioned by the Arcuri campaign, says that Oneida County District Attorney Michael Arcuri leads Senator Ray Meier in the race for the 24th congressional seat.  It was conducted by the Benenson Strategy Group.  According to the poll, Arcuri holds a 4 point lead over Senator Meier.  Of those polled, 68% say the country is on the wrong track, compared to 21% who believe we're heading in the right direction.

Michael Arcuri Statement:
"I am deeply honored and grateful to have the support of the voters of New York's 24th District.  Our campaign has generated lots of momentum, and we are on our way to an exciting race.  Washington is in desperate need of new ideas and a new direction.  I look forward to working with the voters here as we fight to bring real change and reform to Congress."

Senator Meier Response:
"That this race is in a dead heat isn't a surprise, but what is a surprise is this calculated 'bait-and-switch' release hatched by Mr. Karp to likely distract voters from the Arcuri campaign's reported ethical problems."
