Fire hits sanitation center in Newport

NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Fire crews from multiple companies have been on the scene of a structure fire in the Town of Newport.

The call came in around 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning at 151 Old State Road.

The fire broke out at the Humpf Trucking and Sanitation Center.

The fire was so strong that it melted one of the garage doors off its hinges.

Right now, there are no reports of any injuries.

No further details were available.
