Ilion police arrest Herkimer man on rape charge

ILION (WKTV) - Ilion Police have arrested a Herkimer man for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.
    
21-year-old, Andrew James Reynold is charged with two counts of rape, one count of a criminal sexual act, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of criminal contempt.
    
The alleged victim says they had been having sexual intercourse and oral sex since she was 15. 

There was also an order of protection against Reynolds that required him to stay away from the girl.  Police say he intentionally and knowingly violated the protection order.

Reynolds was arraigned in the village of ilion, and is in the herkimer county correctional facility in lieu of a $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.  He is scheduled to be back in court December 26th.
