No smoke alarm in building that killed eight in Oswego County

RICHLAND, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have released the names and
ages of the four children and four adults who died in yesterday's
fire at a home in central New York.

The victims of the fire in Oswego County include 26-year-old Robin Dillenbeck, her four young sons, Dillenbeck's boyfriend, the boyfriend's mother and the mother's boyfriend.

Authorities say the ages of Dillenbeck's boys were 6 months, 20 months, 6 years old and 10 years old.

The fire broke out shortly before 3 a.m. yesterday in a two-story home in the rural town of Richland, on Lake Ontario's eastern end 37 miles north of Syracuse.

The 42-year-old man who owned the home was able to flee the
building.

The county sheriff says investigators are looking at wood stoves that were used for heat as a possible cause of the fire.

Investigators do not suspect arson.

Officials say there were no smoke alarms in the home.
