ALBANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Governor David Paterson called the State of the State "perilous" but says New York can pull through it.

His State of the State address outlined a plan for renewable energy, expanded health care, and economic development.

Utica Mayor David Roefaro attended the meeting, and says he supports Paterson's request for Federal help that could boost infrastructure projects locally.

Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente called the speech uplifting, but is unclear on how newly introduced programs would be paid for.

"When you are raising health care for people up to 29 I have to worry about that as county executive looking to whether that is an added burden to our health care costs to Medicaid costs so in one area where he's reaching out trying to do what is right...where do we find the money to do it," said Picente.

Officials are expected to continue talking with the Governor's office to better understand his agenda and how it will impact dependent budgets like ones in Utica and Oneida County.
