Williams takes plea in robbery that resulted in death of Hungria Ferreira
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A man who was indicted on robbery charges that ended with another man's death - has taken a plea deal. Marques Williams is accused of playing a role in a robbery that resulted in the death of Hungria Ferreira. The plea-deal means Williams will now spend ten years in prison. The other suspect in the case - Christopher White - has pleaded not-guilty to charges of murder, robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Ferreira, outside a Stark Street apartment on November 1, 2007 in what police say was a "drug deal gone bad." Another man - Orlando Curtis - was killed in the shootout that night, however, there has been no one charged with Curtis' death.
