Utica Deputy Chiefs only two scheduled to take Police Chief exam
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The deadline for the Civil Service Exam for the position of Utica Police Chief has passed, and the two names on the list to take the test - are no surprise.
Both Mark Williams and Michael Bailey are current Deputy Utica Police Chiefs. Both were promoted to the position of Deputy Chief in June of last year. The two men will take the chief's exam on March 7. Both say they work exceptionally well together, and that will continue, regardless of who gets the top spot. Public Safety Commissioner Daniel LaBella has been acting as interim Police Chief, until the position is filled after the exam. |
