One dead, four rescued following Waterville fireWATERVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - State Police are investigating a house fire that has left one person dead and four homeless this morning. The call came in around 5:30 Monday afternoon. Crews from Deansboro, Oriskany Falls, and Hamilton responded to a house fire along Stafford Road. When they arrived, the house was engulfed in flames. Sources at the scene tell NEWSChannel 2 one person died in the blaze. Thanks to the quick actions of rescuers, three adults and a baby were rescued. They were rushed to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for smoke inhalation. The home itself is a total loss. The fire remains under investigation at this time. Most Popular |
