56 year-old woman dies in fire
Flames engulf a two-family residence on Stafford Avenue in Waterville. (Tom Geise/WKTV) WATERVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) -A 56 year-old woman is dead after a fire that destroyed a Waterville home Monday night. Around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, State Police responded to a fully involved structure fire at 172 North Stafford Avenue in the Village of Waterville. Volunteer Firefighters from the Waterville Fire Department went into the two-family residences, and found Linda M. Moser, 56, who lived in the the downstairs apartment, deceased inside. The upstairs residents - Mark J. Anderson along with his wife, Maria Anderson and 6 month old grandson - were able to escape the fire with the assistance of the fire department. All 3 family members were sent to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for evaluation and released. The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross and a State Police Forensic Identification Unit is continuing their investigation into the cause and origin of the fire. Most Popular
