Funeral arrangements announced for fallen Marine Blaise Oleski

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The funeral services for fallen Marine Blaise Olesy were announced Saturday. The services are being handled by the Barry Funeral Home. 

 

TUESDAY, April 14th:
• Body will arrive at the former Griffiss Air Force Base at 10:00 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, April 15th:
• Calling Hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Barry Funeral Home.

THURSDAY, April 16th:
• Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church in Rome.
• A ceremony at Fort Stanwix will be held following the funeral.
• A private burial will be held at an undisclosed location. 


Lance Corporal Oleski was a member of the 3rd battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, a part of the II Marine Expeditionary Force based at Camp Lejune, North Carolina. He died while supporting combat operations in Afghanistan.
