Fugitive on Oneida County's Top 10 Wanted List captured in Utica


UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - One of Oneida County's top ten most wanted fugitives was captured Saturday afternoon. Michael Forester was wanted in both Oneida County and New York City.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Forester was captured at about 2:00 p.m. by the Oneida County Sheriff's Warrants Division - US Marshal's NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Utica Police Uniform Patrol Division.

Forester was located operating a vehicle on Hartford Place in the City of Utica.

Forester was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office for Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd and wanted by the New York Police Department for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree.

Forester is being held at the Oneida County Jail and will appear in Oneida County Court at a later date.

This is the second person from the Top 10 Most Wanted in Oneida County List found in the last four days. Shawn D. Moore was also found in Utica on April 7, 2009. He was wanted on felony charges and for failing to notify address change.
