Overlook Mansion sells for $50,001 on auction block

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - One of Little Falls' most well-known landmarks went on the auction block Thursday.

The Overlook Mansion went into foreclosure, and on Thursday it was sold for $50,001.

A handful of potential bidders gathered at the Herkimer County Courthouse Thursday morning for the auction, including the former owner - Carin Mei.

She and her husband bought the place in the 1980s. The mansion has had its fair share of issues in the past - the restaurant closed in 2001, and all of its furnishings were auctioned off in 2002.
