Grandmother of allegedly murdered baby speaks out

DEERFIELD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Eileen Sapienza is the grandmother of Daniella Sapienza.

Daniella Sapienza was allegedly smothered to death by her mother LeeAnn Wimmers about a year ago at the age of just 4 months.

Eileen Sapienza now says Wimmers has admitted to killing Daniella Sapienza. 

Eileen Sapienza says she had a feeling that Wimmers did in fact kill Daniella Sapienza, because she says Wimmers had previous mental problems.

Eileen Sapienza says her son, Daniella's father, had to be "settled down" by law enforcement officials after they told him Wimmers was charged.
