First-ward now a three-way Republican race

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The race for New Hartford First Ward Council is now a three-way Republican race.

James Messa has announced he has decided to run for the council spot against incumbent Robert Payne III and former councilman Don Backman.

Messa says he decided to run in light of New Hartford's current financial situation.
