DEERFIELD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A former Deerfield woman accused of murdering her infant daughter last April has waived her extradition rights.

After a year-long investigation, Leann Wimmers was charged with murder in the death of Daniella Marie Sapienza. Now that she has waived her extradition rights, U.S. Marshals are on their way to North Carolina to get her.

The process to bring her back to Oneida County will take about 10 days.
