Man walking on Route 12B following car accident struck by another car
MADISON, N.Y. (WKTV) - An 83 year old man involved in a motor vehicle accident earlier in the evening was out of his car and struck by another car and sent to the hospital Wednesday night. According to State Police, Howard W. Snyder, 83, of Hamilton, had been involved in a property damage accident on Route 12B in the Town fo Madison. Snyder was walking northbound on the east shoulder of the road, as the west shoulder was blocked by emergency and tow vehicles that were removing vehicles involved in the accident. According to State Police, it was at that time, around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, when Snyder, walking north on Route 12B when he was struck by a northbound 2006 Subaru Wagon operated by Michele R. Reed, 46, of Bouckville. Snyder was treated at the scene by the Hamilton Fire Department and sent to St. Elizabeth’s Trauma Center with unspecified injuries. Reed was not injured in the accident.
