Rome man arrested for DWI after Lewis County crash, five sent to hospital

GREIG, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Rome man lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree in an early morning car accident in Lewis County. Five passengers were sent to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

Lewis County Sheriff's deputies say that 22-year-old Adam Little of Rome was driving along South Shore Road in the Town of Greig when he lost control of his car, went off of the road and struck a tree.

When police arrived, they determined that speed and alcohol were primary factors in the crash. Little was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a .12% BAC.

Little was driving five passengers and all were transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center with minor injuries. His passengers were Lindsey Zullo, Brenda McMahon, Richard Kosakowski, John McMahon and Carolyn Zullo.

Little is also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to keep right and speed not prudent for weather conditions.
