SOUTH NEW BERLIN, N.Y. (WKTV) - A lifelong Yankee fan from Central New York will be spending his wedding anniversary at Yankee Stadium.

George Murray of South New Berlin was selected to take part in the Yankees' new community initiative called Hope Week.  The team selected five individuals - one for each day this week to honor at the new stadium, and one of them is George Murray.  He, his wife and four year old son Treyson will get the royal treatment at the stadium on Wednesday.  There are numerous surprises planned, but those are being kept quiet.

Murray was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease almost four years ago, and has no use of his arms and hands.  Murray says "then they sat us down and told us, and of course my wife was cried the entire time, and I was like what do we do next, come on, let's go....I've often corrected people, who would tell me, you're dying.  Oh no I'm not, I'm living, and this is proof right here."

The family needed a handicapped accessible van to make the trip and they went to rent one at Don's Ford, that is being donated by Don's Ford.
