UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica shooting that has gone unsolved for more than three years now has police looking to those out at the bars that evening for information that could lead to an arrest.

On February 18, 2006, around 1:05 a.m., Utica Police were called to the area of Burnet and Jay Streets for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police found David L. Rudolph, 34, of Utica, lying on the ground, dead of a gunshot wound.

Rudolph left behind five children, and his murder has gone unsolved ever since.

Utica Police say that because the shooting occurred in the early morning hours of a Saturday, bars in the area - The Club Millennium, Cocktails and Dreams, and That Place, were all busy at the time. Police believe people who remember being at one of these bars on that night are asked to think back and, if they remember anything that may help bring closure to the case, to contact them.
