NYSP Captain: Fight broke out at Hollyrock in Sylvan Beach

SYLVAN BEACH, N.Y. (WKTV) - Captain Francis Coots of the New York State Police has confirmed that a fight broke out at the Hollyrock in Sylvan Beach early Sunday morning and two Oneida men were taken into custody.

According to Captain Coots, two men were taken into custody. 22-year-old Christopher Joslyn and 25-year-old Bruce Joslyn were arrested following the fight. They were both charged with harassment in the 2nd degree and released from State Police.

The dispatcher at New York State Police said information is unavailable until Monday.

On July 25, 2008, Hollyrock in Sylvan beach was stripped of their liquor license. The establishment was cited by the State Liquor Authority for several violations.

The state noted noise, fights, patrons urinating on neighbors lawns and alcohol served at an outside bar that was not licensed.

The Hollyrock in Sylvan Beach opened in early July of 2008. Owner Matt Demar says unlike his other locations which are more geared towards adults, the Sylvan Beach Hollyrock is a family-friendly establishment.
