Discussion Update: 6:50 AM

Good morning Central New York!  Today's forecast all depends on where you live.  A storm system will sneak by here, giving us a glancing blow of clouds and showers.  Those of you living in Otsego and Chenango County, south of route 20 are most likely to see mostly cloudy conditions and a few showers with highs in the low to mid 50s.  The Mohawk Valley will see partly to mostly cloudy conditons, with only the slight chance of a shower, and highs in the upper 50s.  Up across the North Country, more sunshine with highs near 60.  We'll see clouds diminish a bit overnight, and some sushine to start out Saturday.

High pressure will move in just in time for the weekend.  Saturday will feature a mix of clouds and sun with highs in the low 60s.  By Sunday, abundant sunshine to return to Central New York with highs in the upper 60s.  Should be a great Mother's Day weatherwise!  We turn unsettled and unseasonably cool for Monday into Tuesday.

You can always stay home from work or keep the kids home from school. Sure you may have to use a sick/vacation/personal day but you still do have that choice.

Things are hard enough on a business. Forcing them to close when the weather is bad is the surest way to have them close up shop. Jobs are tough enough to find in the area. Leave earlier, slow down, get snow tires and remember you live in the snow belt.

I agree that business should be closed on bad wheather days, ice especially. Sorry, but, getting to work is not worth my life. I have a family! This includes banks! Heaven forbid they lose that almighty dollar!

I agree with what Anonymous wrote at 7:49.God forbid, but someday someone is either going to be killed or injured in a car accident getting to work on bad roads. Then,I hope that the business, that person worked for is sued for a great deal of money. Maybe, then businesses will not put their employees' lives in danger for the almighty dollar!!
