MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Whitesboro man has been arrested after police say he dumped several garbage items onto the lot and field of the Paris Gun Club on Barnes Avenue.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Richard Zalocha of Whitesboro disposed an old mattress, coffee table, a rug and several garbage bags on the property last on July 29.

On Friday, members of the gun club called the sheriff's office to complain about the trash and authorities began an investigation. They went through the garbage bags and found Zalocha's name on different pieces of paper.

After interviewing Zalocha at the sheriff's office, he admitted to throwing the garbage out of a van onto the property of the Paris Gun Club.

Zalocha was issued a citation for illegally dumping waste under the Oneida County Ordinance and then turned Zalocha over to the Environmental Conservation Police for further action.

Officer Lakeman also issued an environmental conservation citation for conservation laws. Citations from the Sheriff's Office and the Conservation Office were returnable to Marcy Town Court on August 25.
