Arcuri to hold town hall on healthcare reform
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - On Wednesday, August 19, Congressman Michael Arcuri from the 24th Congressional District will host a healthcare town hall meeting in the auditorium at Mohawk Valley Community College to hear from constituents regarding healthcare reform in America.
The meeting will run from 4 - 5:30 p.m. On August 19 in the IT Theater building of MVCC, on 1101 Sherman Drive. Spokesman Jay Biba says the town hall meeting at MVCC will be Arcuri's 21st town hall in 2009 and will allow constituents to make comments and ask questions to provide a healthy and civilized discourse regarding healthcare reform. Biba went on to say that Arcuri has spent the month of August traveling the district and meeting with stakeholders in the healthcare industry including doctors, nurses and hospital administrators. This will not be the last town hall meeting either, as Biba says Arcuri will continue to host town hall meetings across the 24th Congressional District before Congress returns to session after Labor Day. |
