Tour of Fiberdyne Labs boasts new products

FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - The going green pattern continues in Frankfort at Fiberdyne Labs.

Senator James Seward and Assemblyman Marc Butler took a tour of the facility that is now developing more energy efficient lighting. Five or six new products are in the works that will cut your energy use in half. In addition to that, the CEO of the company says another product is being tested on the road.

"We have a broad range of products," said Peter Polus, Fiberdyne CEO. "One of our products is a LED-based product that goes on the back of a that when the driver steps on the brakes, a stop sign in LED is illuminated. And they did a study and saved 95% of rear-end collisions by having a simple LED sign."

Tuesday's tour was also a check up on the company's progress. Fiberdyne Labs was established in 1992 with a focus on fiber optic networking.
