Zogby: Kennedy was "larger than life"

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Internationally-known political analyst John Zogby says, yes, Senator Edward Kennedy had his flaws, but that there is no denying that he was larger than life.

Zogby recalled his last conversation with Kennedy, the morning before last year's New Hampshire primary. Kennedy was considering endorsing John Edwards for president, and what he said brought pollster Zogby to tears.

Zogby says Kennedy was part of an American dynasty. He says the youngest Kennedy was no doubt aiming for the White House, but that the drowning of Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquiddick proved to be the glass ceiling of his political career.

Zogby also points out that Senator Kennedy's name appeared on roughly 2,500 pieces of legislation, and says the baby of the Kennedy family was, in life, and still is, in death, larger than life.
