(WKTV) - On Labor Day there's a national day of action to get real food in our schools. The Child Nutrition Act is the bill that governs the National School Lunch Program and right now it's up for re-authorization in Congress. This opens some new opportunities right to get healthy food in schools.
The day of action "eat-in" is happening on Monday at Sherrill Brook Town Park in New Hartford. It's a potluck picnic and it begins at 5pm.
