Police search for suspect in Steuben Street shooting

UTICA, NY (WKTV) - Authorities are now on the hunt for the man they say shot a person in the face on Steuben Street in Utica Saturday morning.

Police are looking for Kent D. Spratley, who they say was the shooter in the incident, which came about following a landlord/tenant dispute.

Spratley is described as a black male, 31 years old, and measuring 6 feet tall and weighing 260 pounds. He has brown hair and black eyes.

He is considered armed and dangerous and police say you should not approach him if spotted. Call the Utica Police Department at 315-223-3580 or the Fugitive Task Force Tip Line at 690-1834. All tips will be kept confidential

Officials say the gunshot wound to the victim was actually minor, and the victim was taken to a local hospital, treated and released.
