Election Commissioner: Electronic voting a success

MARCY, NY (WKTV) - Voters in Marcy got to test out brand new voting machines during Tuesday's primary election.

There were no levers to press or curtains to pull - voters simply filled out the ballots and slid them into a scanner.

Republican County Election Commissioner Pam Mandryck said there's no doubt these machines will be used in future elections.

"The voters who used it absolutely loved it, as do the there's no reason not to," Mandryck said.

The election commissioner said they had very few "spoiled" ballots at the Marcy districts, meaning there were hardly any glitches or problems with the new machines.
