Feeding the fans, pros and volunteers at the PGA Turning Stone Championship

VERNON, N.Y. (WKTV) - As rain soaked competitors and fans alike the only warmth could be found under meal tents spread throughout the course. Feeding all of those involved with the Turning Stone Resort Championship is no simple task.

"It's a huge operation for us, we have 8 concession stands, we feed all the volunteers in two different areas which could be over 1,000 people per day plus we take care of the VIP's and players and their families so it's a lot," said Turning Stone Director of Food and Beverages Vince Farrar.

For 16 years, Farrar has been heading up big events including the Resort Championships.

The only question raised by Farrar was how many people would show up to eat all the food.

Here's a look at just how much the Resort expects to go through over the four day tournament according to Farrar:

*2,000 burgers
*1,000 hot dogs
*1,000 deli sandwiches
*750 breakfast sandwiches
*1,000 chicken sandwiches
*1,500 sausages
*2,500 candy/cookies
*2,500 boxed lunches
*50 gallons of chili
*500 orders of chicken riggies.
