UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A group of seniors met with Congressman Michael Arcuri Friday morning in Utica to discuss issues of importance.

However it was one topic - health care reform - that dominated the discussion.

About a dozen seniors attended the event at the North Utica Community Center to see the Congressman, who was fresh off his game of basketball with President Obama on Thursday evening. Arcuri talked about that briefly, then dove right into the health care debate.

Many questions were asked, many having to do with cost - such as who will pay for the plan if it's passed.

Being seniors, other questions had to deal with medicare, and what will happen to their coverage if a health care reform bill did pass.

"Probably, the group it will affect the least, whose life it will change the least is seniors," Congressman Arcuri said. "There will be very little difference in terms of what kind of, and the quality of, care you get, and the services you receive."

The Congressman said he still has to make up his mind on how he would vote on health care reform. He says part of that reason is because there is no finished bill ready to be voted on.
