Former bookkeeper for Pulver roofing admits to stealing almost $1 million
UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - A former bookkeeper admits stealing nearly a million dollars from a Utica roofing company over a three-year period.
Thirty-nine-year-old Bobbi Radell pleaded guilty to grand larceny on Friday before Oneida County Court Judge Barry Donalty. Radell said she wrote company checks to herself to pay credit card bills or to give the money away. Radell was responsible for paying Pulver Roofing's bills and payroll. Prosecutors say she wrote 339 checks to herself totaling $952,440. Radell, a single mother of three young children, is due to be sentenced on Jan. 7. Attorneys and the judge still have to work out an appropriate punishment. She could face as much as 15 years in prison or as little as probation. |
