State Police investigating fatal accident in Otego

OTEGO, N.Y. (WKTV) - State Police are investigating a fatal accident at the Mill Creek Estates on Wednesday, October 21 at roughly 3:40 p.m.

According to State Police, Seymour Bourn, 89, of 124 Mill Creek Road, Lot 9 in the Town of Otego, was traveling south on the circular drive servicing Mill Creek Estates at 124 Mill Creek Road, when he drove off the roadway for unknown reasons, traveling approximately 75 feet before striking a mobile home at lot 24.

Bourn was sent to A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta where he was pronounced deceased.

The mobile home suffered structural damage, but no-one in the residence was hurt, and the home is stable.

State Police the investigation is continuing.
