Fire Officials: Little Falls house fire "suspicious"

By WKTV News

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - Fire officials with the Little Falls Fire Department say a house fire on East John Street early Monday morning appears suspicious in nature.

The fire broke out at approximately 4:50 a.m. Monday morning at 585 East John Street. They had it under control in about an hour. Officials said the house was unoccupied at the time the fire broke out and there were no injuries.

Firefighters remained on the scene more than four hours later, extinguishing hot-spots.

The blaze remains under currently under investigation through the Little Falls Fire and Police Departments, along with the NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control.

The investigation comes less than a week after a teen was charged for an intentionally-set fire at a vacant warehouse in Little Falls that officials said was being used as a hangout by a group calling themselves "The Jokers."
