NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The work is over, but the stress has just begun for the two New Hartford Town Supervisor candidates.

Democrat Bill Morris and Republican Pat Tyksinski cast their votes this morning. Morris voted at the fire department; Tyksinki, at the Methodist Church.

"I think it's going to be close," says Morris. "I think there are a lot of undecideds that make their decision at the very last minute and I hope they take everything into account and go my way."

Tyksinski, too, says that while the work is done, waiting for the results to be tallied can be as stressful as campaigning itself.

"It's been a long campaign; we had the primary then the general election so myself and my committee have been working for many months on this so to that extent, it's a relief but the nerves are still running a little bit and they will up until we get the results tonight."

Both men say that, if elected, getting the town's finances in order would be a priority.
