Val Bialis gets new contractor

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A new contractor is coming in to renovate the Val Bialis ski area in Utica.

The company ShipRite has been awarded the contract to renovate the ski hill.

According to the mayor's assistant, the contract should be formally given to the owner of the company by next week.

Crews tore down the rest of the tubing attraction last week, after the former company failed to make a profit on the facility.
