12 killed in shooting at Ft. HoodFT. HOOD, T.X. (WKTV) - 12 people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting at Ft. Hood, a US Army base, in Texas. The shooting took place at a millitary processing facility about 1:30PM CST. A single incident took place at the personnel and medical processing center on the base. One gunman went into the facility, which helps soliders prepare for deployment, and openned fire with two handguns. The quick response from security at the scene resulted in the gunman being killed. He was a member of the US military, but has not been identified. NBC News is reporting that the gunman is Major Malik Nadal Hasan. Two others, involved in this incident, and both soldiers, were taken into custody near the scene of the shooting. |
